| The Reformation is more than paper… |
The legacy of the Reformation consists largely of paper: books, manuscripts, letters, and graphic art. These objects’ significance often goes unnoticed at first glance. We therefore present the history of the Reformation through diverse means that range from guided tours of the exhibitions to academic lectures; this diversity is a constant aspect of the Luther Memorials Foundation's work.
Cultural education is particularly important to the foundation. All of our museums offer extensive museum education events and programmes. Not only children and youths, but also adults, are given the opportunity to explore the Reformation and its protagonists in a playful atmosphere. The foundation’s calendar of events is the logical extension of its educational work. Whether concerts, public readings, or lectures for a general audience: all events invite participants to achieve a meaningful encounter with the Age of Reformation. The foundation’s scholarly programme includes research projects, academic workshops, and publications as well as projects related to the cataloguing of its extensive collections. |
